and what you were doing when it occurred
Brand (IBM, Dell, Compaq, clone, etc)
Type of system (486, Pent I, II, II, III, IIII, AMD etc.)
CPU make and speed ( AMD, Intel, 233MHz, 350MHz, etc.)
How much RAM ( 128MB, 256MB, 512MB or a Gig of Ram etc.)
What video card and how much RAM on board "Memory Chip"128, 256Megs and if you know AGP or Enhanced PCI
Mother board manufacturer (Asrock, Asus, BMC, Intel, MSI, Shuttle, Star, etc.)
How old the system is: 1 year, 2 year ect.
What Anti Virus software you are using and is it up to date (current Virus definitions)
What Spyware removal tools you are using such as: Adaware, Bullitt proof, Spybot search & destroy, Spyware blaster...
What Hardware and software firewall you may be using.
Is your Operating software up to date on Critical patches & Service Pacs?
These questions are important to any qualified tech to be able to help you find out what is going on in your system.

(when your computer first starts up).
